Self-control

I swear when I pulled up to the Arby's drive-through I was only going to get a sandwich and a baked potato. I don't know what happened - it's like I have no control over my impulses. Next thing I knew, I was handing over my debit card to the lady in the little window in exchange for some mozarella cheese sticks. Once I got back to my office, my only saving grace was that the potato tasted weird, so I only consumed roughly 750 calories between the sandwich and the sticks. If I ever want to fit into my cute wardrobe again, I should only have 500 cal for the rest of the day. The six Oreos and bag of combos I have in my desk right now would take care of that, but I must resist! Do you think there's some kind of surgical procedure where my taste buds can be modified so that unhealthy food tastes bad? I'd be fine if celery tasted better than pizza...and if I didn't travel so much...you can't really find healthy food on the road, nor do you really want to - comfort food is a powerful thing when you're in a strange city all by yourself.

Good thing i was the potato that tasted weird - those things are terrible for you!

And you should develop a new comfort food - like grapefruit. Grapefruit means someone loves you. Then when you're on the road you can eat a grapefruit and say to yourself "Aw, I'm loved." Also, I totally ate well when I traveled cause I would find a grocery store, or market, or the like and get things like Pom and smoothies and raspberries and all the good foods that I would never want to pay for myself but could now get cause it was expensed. Wheee! Expensed!
